#4479719 i want to know why you still playing APB

3. social district drama

"I got scammed what do i do?"
"contact support"
"will they help me?"

Every social district in a nutshell.

So.. I keep playing because of the customization options, and by the fact that the game is basically "free roam". Fight clubs aren't just deathmatches :
- Team A won! Loading screen!! Next map!!! Play again!!!!

In APB fight clubs never stop, people leave, people join, it's just unique in it's own way, i love it.

Mission district are the main reason why i play: the idea of Crim vs Enf is appealing to me. I find myself a group, i see players wearing awesome outfits, we go into missions that always feel different, and yet they are ALWAYS the same. I just don't understand why but i can't get bored of APB (i take long pauses very often though , pretty much everytime a new game comes out).

EDIT: Nobody should stop playing until you can see the engine update with your own eyes. I mean i waited so much for it. Not gonna stop NOW that it's done

#4437169 The main problem for new-comers

Let´s take an example a new player, free-to-play , that can´t afford to spend anything on it.

His first hours on the game will sure be like hell.. bronze server populated by fake bronze/silver players that are actually level 255 gold , but the fact is: There is SO MUCH new to discover, that the new player won´t care about those unfair matches.

There are weapons, car , lots of mission, 5 different districts to explore, custumization and so on. He will have fun and keep playing the game, maybe complaining about the pay2win but nothing serious.

What i think is the main problem with new-comers is: Lack of character customization. I met many new player, invited many to play with me as well, and everyone had the same problem : "Why do i have to wait to be level 215 to do this?"

Upgrades like "Jammer" , "Spotter" , "high magnification scope" are something that really define you as a player. I want to snipe and have that scope, why do i have to wait level 215?

i want to spot people for my teammates and be usefull, why do i have to wait?

I want to use my car to detect enemies .. why wait?

The game would be much more attractive for new-comers and free-to-play players if they didn´t have to play around 300 hours to archieve those item ALL AT ONCE.

My best idea would be to split the distribution of those upgrades between the levels, so that player could be motivated to level up until they reach a specific goal, that isn´t above 215.

#4437167 Future of the game

Posted by Onetel2 on 06 December 2016 - 02:11 AM

Hi, this is my first post on the forum.

I´ve played APB reloaded for over 700 hours, by far my most played game. It might not always be as balanced as other games, not as smooth as other games , maybe not as populated as other games. But one thing is for sure, this game is way too funny to play to give it up.

My concerns started when i read, from the steam page, a topic called "Have you played: APB reloaded?" , saying that , despite the game being good, it´s just overwhelmed by GTA Online´s popularity. I think this is not true, since i own both game and i like APB way more.

The fact is: in the last months i haven´t seen any significant updates to the game. Sure armas weapons are cool.. new car as well, but i feel like this game has been abandoned. Are the devs ever going to introduce new features? I´m talking about gadgets , weapon mods , vehicle mods .. things that would really change the core of the game or offer variety.

Have the devs abandoned APB reloaded, or is something great being planned again? I seriously need to know, because i love this game .

Thanks for your attenction
