Another Maya update!

Character Rig
Got a lot of the rig done! It's still not complete, as I'm still working on hierarchy work and controls. This is insanely so much work (as you can see on the outliner on the left) and seriously... bless Jenz for him providing a rig for everyone to use and no one else having to go through that pain of creating one.

 

Other than Kewlin, I'm not sure who else was planning to use Maya for APB stuffs. I say this because I'm currently in the process of adding attributes to the wrist controls. I'm going to add finger curling (of course you'll still be able to manually do it if you don't want to mess with attributes) but I'm not sure if I should also add stuff like finger spreading; don't know how many people would like that or don't care for it so I'm not doing that for nothing.

I've currently got some controls on the feet that you can tilt the foot in different angles and such, as you can see with the diamonds sticking out. I also made it that if you don't want to mess with these controls, you can hide them and just simply use specific attributes you just select and middle mouse click and hold and move around and it does the same thing.

For the arms, I've also made an option on the wrist control so you can switch between IK and F-K (stupid language filter) functions if you'd like.

Once the body is done, I'll be working on the facial bones for the rig. I'm hoping it's not as much of a pain in the patootie as everything else was. My goal for this rig is to make it decent, and also make it very easy to use for those that don't want to do a whole lot of going balls deep in the controls and such.

Weapon Materials
Weapon materials are almost complete, however I'm trying to figure out how to set it up so if people want specific skins on it like the Neko Otome stuff, etc. Again, I'd like to know if any other Maya users care to have projected extra stuff like that or not. But other than that, weapon is fine, and you can color it however you want in many ways!

Vehicle Materials

Turns out I completely overlooked the emissive and dirt maps! So I'm currently in the process of trying to add those in. Currently having a bit of issues trying to create different masks so the user can turn on whatever lights they want for their vehicles for their renders. I'm hoping this isn't too hard. It's been a bit more confusing than weapon materials.

 

 

But yeah... that's all about it for now. :D It's a bit of a struggle doing this while juggling finals but it's a very fun learning experience.
